Every system goes the same way, whether it is a plant room for a holding, a cabinet for a house or a board for a van. We draw it around what you run, build and test it in our workshop in the South West, then install it and switch it on ourselves. Here is what each stage looks like from your side.
We visit, or you send photographs and measurements, with a list of what you run and for how long. We look at the roof or field for the array, where the batteries and board would live, and anything you already have that is worth keeping.
From that we size the inverter, the storage and the solar, and send you a proposal you can actually read: a single-line drawing, a parts list and a fixed price, with equipment, build and installation listed separately. We go through it with you on the phone and change it until it is right.
Nothing is ordered until you have agreed the design.
The plant room, cabinet or board is wired in our workshop in the South West. Each cable is cut to length, numbered at both ends and torqued to the maker’s figure, with every circuit fused to the cable it protects.
It is run under load on the bench before it leaves, and comes with a circuit schedule matching the cable numbers and a torque certificate for every terminal. Fitting on site is connecting, not terminating.
The system is installed and commissioned by the people who built it. We set up the Victron firmware, test every circuit under load and set the generator auto-start where there is one.
Monitoring is set up before we leave: a Cerbo GX with remote monitoring, Wi-Fi ready, and the Victron app on your phone. You get a handover with a written commissioning report, the drawings and the codes for every piece of Victron equipment on board.
After that, you phone the person who built it.
